PTE Exam Fees 2024
Choosing the center for your exam (currently, there are 35 centers in India where you can give PTE) starts with signing up at PTE official website. After filling out the form carefully and diligently, book your PTE exam slot according to your convenience. Pay your registration fee online and come to your chosen exam center in your preferred slot.
PTE exam fees in India are INR 15,900, including taxes. You can choose your slot with this fee two days in advance.
PTE Exam Cancellation Fee
If you have to cancel your exam due to unforeseen circumstances, your refund will vary depending on the circumstance leading to your examination cancellation.
Like in case of any medical or family emergency, Pearson may offer cancellation or rescheduling after you fill-up the form available on their website free of cost.
But if there is any other reason, your refund will depend on the number of remaining days until the exam. For example, if you cancel before 14 days or more, you will get a full refund of your fees. Between 7-13 days, you will get half the refund, and for less than one week, you will get no refund.
That's why students are always advised to book a slot 25-30 days after the registration to avoid these situations.
PTE Exam Rescheduling Fee
You can easily reschedule the PTE exam. The refund policy is similar to the cancellation policy. For more than 14 days you won't have to pay any additional cost, for 7 to 13 days you have to pay 50% of the fee, and for less than seven days, it will be treated as a new booking.
Due to the pandemic, there may be a case where PTE may cancel the booking. In such a scenario, you will receive an email. You won't be charged an extra fee in this situation.
Can I Get Discount on My PTE Fee
Generally, there is no discount on the PTE exam fee, but sometimes Pearson gives some special discount which can be seen on their websites.
It is always better to prepare for the PTE exam well in advance and book a slot only when you are confident of taking it. Since the PTE exam cost is a bit high, it's best to avoid situations wherein you may need to reschedule or cancel it.
