Describe a tall building in your city: Sample 1
This topic seeks a description of a tall building in my city. I will hark back to a time when skyscrapers were not so common across Indian cities. When I was growing up in the 1990s, the Chatterjee International Building was a fable and landmark for us in the city of Kolkata. It was an ultra-tall building, and back then, it seemed to us as tall as the sky itself.
The Chatterjee International Building is located at the prime thoroughfare of Park Street-Chowringhee. It is a leading office building that our parents and immediate family always described as a landmark. At first glance, the building creates an awe-inspiring effect, rising to 24 storeys with an appearance that seems strictly professional. I have had the good fortune to have worked with a company on the 19th floor of the building in the capacity of a freelancer. Thereafter, I could not help but be amazed at the drop-dead gorgeous view from the building. It seemed almost like a fairytale if you count the Victoria Memorial and the sprawling Maidan with its lush greenery.
The building itself is a quintessential office building with its history. It has been home to countless companies, and many fortunes have been made and lost. However, the entire appearance was always one of awe. The building has also courted many controversies but has remained a vital part of Kolkata’s skyline.

Describe a tall building in your city: Sample 2
One of the tallest buildings in my city has been recently developed. It is part of a new shift in the real estate industry towards skyscrapers in the City of Joy, Kolkata, where I live. This building is known as The 42 and is arguably one of the costliest real estate projects in the city and at par with the Trump Tower and other such projects. This mega real estate project will have ultra-exclusive apartments on sale for unimaginably high prices.
The name of the building in the prime Chowringhee office area comes from the plot number. In reality, it goes up to a whopping 65 storeys in total. The views from the top have been documented by the real estate brands behind the project, and they are spectacular, to say the least. The building itself is an architectural wonder, rising against the skyline of the Esplanade area, with the imposing Victoria Memorial in the background and the lush green Maidan.
The area is possibly the costliest in Kolkata, considering it is located in Park Stree. At the same time, residents of the high rise will enjoy access to the iconic New Market. The building has a sleek and slim look and has already become one of the most photographed landmarks in the city. It looks spectacular when lit up at night and also on special occasions.
