About the University

Clark University is a private, liberal art and research university dedicated to scholarly work that meets social imperatives. It was established in 1887 as one of the country's first institutions exclusively for graduate students. Since its founding, Clark University has expanded, and today it includes 32 undergraduate majors, 12 master's degree programmes, 4 dual master's programmes, and 8 PhD programmes to choose from. The university is a cluster of historic red brick structures across one city block, just 40 miles from Boston and about two miles from downtown Worcester. Psychology, political science, biology, business management, and economics are the most sought-after majors. Moreover, it was among the first research universities on the continent to open. Despite having a small student body, the university still has a great reputation for its research. The university's tiny size is meant to provide a productive learning environment with a high faculty-to-student ratio. With 15% of its students coming from abroad, Clark University is impressively multinational for a university of its size. Owing to great academic performance it ranks #97 in best Global Universities; #751- 800 in QS World ranking according to QS Top Universities; and 601–800th in the World University Rankings 2023 as per THE Time’s Higher Education.
