which is easiest way of communication

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam requires the candidates to write an essay on a given topic. This essay is expected to present a well-developed response to the question asked, with a logical sequencing of ideas supporting the same.

To start, you can cover the following subheads:

  • The idea of communication
  • Naming the easiest way of communication for you
  • The reason why you consider it such
  • Your history with this form of communication

Which Of These Is The Easiest Way Of Communication?

Question 1: According to you, what is the easiest form of communication available in the present?

If history is any proof, the world has seen the value of communication, especially skillful orating, as a weapon. From powerful rulers like Julius Caesar to tyrants like Adolf Hitler, everyone has utilized communication to sway the masses.

But as technology evolved, communication was not just limited to speaking and letter writing. On the contrary, the advent of various other media like the telephone and emails has added to the list of the ways a user can communicate.

Personally, I have witnessed the utmost comfort in written communication. For starters, the written medium offers no boundaries. You can pen your ideas down clearly and concisely.

Granted, it requires considerable thought, and you are bound to make mistakes, but the entire process is extremely rewarding.

The comfort I share with the written medium for the expression of thoughts stems from my childhood. As a reserved individual, I communicated my thoughts and ideas by means of words through mediums like email. With time, I gradually learned proper structuring and the difference between formal and informal tones.

However, with time I grew to rely more on popular social media apps to talk to all my friends and acquaintances. Since most of them involved the option to ‘chat,’ I turned to these mediums to fulfill all my everyday needs. I believe in the present times, it is the easiest mode of communication.

Question 2: Do you think verbal communication is the easiest form of communication?

Communication is a two-way street. Not only are you required to present your ideas, but the listener also needs to comprehend them. Even though it sounds simple in theory, effective communication is an art. Fortunately, tools like automated responses have made communicating through emails and chats easier, but verbal communication still lacks this luxury.

Even so, I feel that with all the information available to us in the present, verbal communication is the most straightforward form of communication. I am able to present my ideas distinctly and clarify the concepts at the same time, without any need for revision or unnecessary back and forth.

Having been a part of multiple speaking competitions, including elocutions, I have developed an affinity for speaking face to face with people over time. This allows me to gauge their reactions and alter my response if my aim is to appease them. In addition, my hand movements, and facial gestures, developed naturally while speaking enhancing my overall personality and body language.

I recall a distinct moment when I was all set to present a project presentation in college. Having stayed up all night to finish the presentation, I did not possess sufficient time to prepare the contents of the slides. Surprisingly, when I went up to present my work, my words started flowing naturally in front of the audience. Even without prior preparation, I could expand on the points mentioned in the slides without any significant pauses.

The oratory skills enhance over a period of time if you persevere and work on your vocabulary which requires you to encompass a lot of knowledge that comes through ardent reading. Regardless, I am confident that my oratory skills can shine even on the darkest of nights.
