The university houses over 13,000 students. Founded in 1473 as a high school, the university has lived through the vibrant history of the French Revolution and occupation and was re-established in the year 1970. Thereafter, it was split into two independent universities, the University of Trierand the University of Kaiserslautern.

Today, the University of Trier is a member of the University of the Greater Region and has an award-winning campus, and has an acceptance rate of 53% with 57% of the students being female.

As an international student, you will be also pleased to know that 11% of the students at the University of Trier are from an international background. In addition to all this, the university has 164 professors, 6 faculties, and more than 30 study programs.

2. M.Sc. Economics

With almost 150 students enrolling in this course, this program is one of the largest at the University of Trier bearing the following topics as part of your syllabus:

3. M.Sc. Geoinformatics

4. M.Sc. Applied Statistics

Required Exams for Admission

The University of Trier’s requirements for admissions consists of proof of English language proficiency. This means that you prove you have a C1 level based on the Common European Framework. Another essential thing to keep in mind is that the test taken cannot be older than 3 years.

Here are a few of the approved exams that you can take with their minimum required scores:

a) TOEFL: Minimum 215 points (computer-based) or 550 points (paper-based) or 80 points (internet-based)
