Chemnitz University of Technology requirements for examination
English language proficiency test: Students taking admission to English language courses need to take the English language proficiency test. Some of the accepted tests along with the scores are given below –
IELTS: 5.5 is the minimum score requirement
TOEFL: 79 is the minimum score requirement
Cambridge Society: First English certification
TOEIC: 785 is the minimum score requirement
German language proficiency test: Students taking admission to German language courses need to prove their German language proficiency skills only if they do not belong to Germany and do not have any prior degree in the German language. German language proof from private universities will not be accepted.
Here’s some of the list of accepted tests with eligibility, students can take only one of the following tests:
1. Test of German as a Foreign Language (TestDaF) The minimum score is 16 points. It is a German language proficiency test.
2. DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) is a German language proficiency test where the DHS level 2 and level 3 is accepted.
Chemnitz University of Technology admissions requirements
Students need to fulfill the admission requirements in order to be eligible for the application process.
1. All the academic records and academic transcripts need to be submitted along with the online application form. Make sure the transcripts are either in English or German language. If not, you need to translate them with the help of a legal translation authority.
2. Submit all the test scores of the English language proficiency test as well as German language proficiency certificates. The scorecards or certificates should not be more than one year old.
3. Letter of recommendation from your past employer or faculty of the education institution can be submitted but that is completely optional.
4. Letter of motivation is again not compulsory to submit but if you do have one, you can always provide it along with all the documents. It should include all the reasons, goals, expectations, and achievements of the student and regarding the course and university they have chosen. It should be in English or German language.

1. German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
It is given to international students opting for post-graduate and doctoral programs. The scholarship program is applicable only for meritorious students.
2. Scholarship STIBET I for international students and PhD students
This scholarship is applicable to international students taking admission to bachelor’s, doctoral programs, and post-graduate courses at Chemnitz University of Technology.
3. Go West – European Master’s program and internship of the Haniel Foundation
The scholarship program is applicable for a one or two-year postgraduate course. The stipend is subject to an academic degree and excellence.
