History of Saarland University
Founded in November 1948, Saarland University is a bilingual education institution offering an education system combined with French and German education traditions.
The university was established with the support of the French Government and the University of Nancy. Before the foundation of the University, there were clinical training courses for the medical students that were introduced at the state hospital in January 1946 with the “Centre Universitaire d’Études Supérieures de Hombourg” established on 8 May 1947 under the patronage of the University of Nancy.

Saarland University Requirements for Examination
Standardized examinations: SAT, ACT, TestAS, Gaokao (China), JEE Advanced (India), Suneung (South Korea) are accepted for undergraduate and post-graduate students. Since the year 2021, it is no longer possible to take the subject tests for SAT examination, you can go for the standard test evidence-based reading, writing, math, and that is sufficient. The essay is not required.
German language proficiency tests are essential for securing admission to German language courses and programs. Students need to take the DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) language exam and get a level of DH2 and DH3 for graduate and post-graduate courses.
