Saarland University, situated in Saarbrücken, the capital of Saarland, is a public research university founded in 1948. The Saarland was then in a unique position, somewhat independent yet connected to France by monetary and economic union. The institution was founded with a European viewpoint because of its dual language of instruction and blend of French and German educational traditions.
The primary campus of Saarland University is situated in a city with a plethora of natural areas and a rich cultural and artistic legacy. The primary campus of Saarland University is located in Saarbrücken and has about 95 buildings pertaining to academics, administration, housing, and other uses. There is an additional location, the Saarland University Hospital, usually referred to as the Homburg campus, where courses for the Faculty of Medical Sciences are offered. The Dudweiler Campus is situated adjacent to Saarland University's main campus.
Saarland University provides UG and PG students with degree programs, certifications, professional courses, and study abroad opportunities. In a variety of subjects, there are sixteen professional-level degree programs, over fifty master's degree programs, and over forty-five bachelor's degree programs. The subjects of engineering, business, and computer science are the most popular among international students.
