Acceptance rate

With a 57.8% acceptance rate, Tarleton State University is moderately difficult to get into. However, Tarleton State University allows students with GPAs as low as 3.26. It is acceptable to have a B average with some A's on the score sheet. 

Admission eligibility criteria

The students are required to complete their previous academic (high school degrees for freshers and bachelor’s degrees for master’s courses) programs with a pass score. A GPA of 4 is recommended as the university is selective in this regard.

• English language proficiency test scores. 
• Affidavit of Support for funding the degree. 
• Declaration or Bank Letter statement.
• A photocopy of a recent passport and student visa (if possible).

How the university evaluates applicants

Physical interviews are not done, although the university does consider supporting aspects like job experiences, recommendations, and so on. An essay is also required with the admission application. 

Tips for applying to the university

• Complete just one admission form if you are a Texas resident seeking admission into an undergraduate program. 
• Foreign students fill up forms directly on the university website or work with an authorized agent.  
• Two methods are available for paying the $50 non-refundable application fee, after which transcripts and test results should be submitted through the portal. 
• A copy of your most recent high school transcript should be included. If you apply before your high school graduation, then you will have to submit a final transcript afterward. 
• Students should provide official SAT/ACT scores. 

Application deadline

On a semester-by-semester basis, applications are accepted by August 15 for the fall batch. January 15 is the deadline for the spring batch, while May 15 is the deadline for the summer batch.
