The university's campus, which is around 247 acres in size and is situated in the Homewood neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, is well known for its splendor and Georgian-Colonial style construction. There are 10 academic schools at Samford University. 

Classrooms, lecture halls, Samford Hall, the Samford bookstore, the dining hall, the food court, the parking lot, the student fitness facility, the information center, the health services, etc. are all fully furnished on-campus amenities. For boosting the general development of its pupils, there are numerous student organizations and activities available, including adventure club, music, student activities council, etc.

Through its four residence halls, the university offers housing options on campus. Basic amenities including fully equipped rooms, communal kitchens with washing facilities, common spaces with study areas, internet access, vending machines, etc. are available in every residence hall.

Applicants must be aware of the following procedures of Samford University admissions when applying to undergraduate degree courses. 

• For the 2023–24 application season, Samford University will provide freshmen applicants with the choice of being assessed without a test score.
• A $40 non-refundable application fee must be paid before applying online.
• There are no SAT/ACT or minimum GPA requirements for admission to the university. However, Samford entrance is selective and accepted students are often highly qualified academically.
• Samford advises all applicants to send their high school profile along with their high school transcript because each institution has unique characteristics. The student's academic achievements will mostly be shown through the high school transcript.
• All applicants, even those who apply without taking the test, are taken into account when scholarships are offered. 

Documents Required for Samford University

For the 2023–24 application season, Samford University will provide freshmen applicants the choice of being evaluated without a test score. Successful Samford University freshman applicants are advised to submit the following materials:

• Samford accepts the Common Application in addition to its online application. The $40 application fee is non-refundable. Regarding the student's choice of application, they have no preferences. The review process is the same for all candidates.
• The minimal word count for the student essay is 250, while one to two pages are encouraged. No additional essays are required from applicants who use the Common Application.
• Transcripts from your high school should be sent straight to Samford. Transcripts can be sent online to Samford through the Common App, Docufide, E-script, and Scoir. Along with their transcript, applicants are requested to include a high school profile.
• A high school guidance counsellor or instructor should write the academic recommendation letter for the student.
• Samford presently accepts applicants with super scores on the ACT and SAT. 
• International students must submit photocopies of their passports/visas and documentation for financial support.

Graduate applicants must produce the above-mentioned documents, but may also require additional documents -

• A certified copy of a transcript that has been assessed course-by-course by a US agency
• Official test scores for the GMAT or GRE
• Proof of English language proficiency. 

Exam Requirements for Samford University

While applying to the undergraduate degree courses at Samford University, students must submit the following test scores-

• The middle 50% of first-year students joining in the autumn of 2022 received scores in the following range:
• ACT: 23-29
• SAT: 1130-1350 
• GPA: 3.48–4.1
• If you didn't take any English-taught classes in high school, you must submit one of the English proficiency test scores.
• 120 or above in Duolingo
• 6.5 or above in IELTS
• 575 or above in TOEFL paper
• 232 or above in TOEFL computer
• 90 or above in TOEFL iBT

While applying to the graduate degree courses at Samford University, students must submit the following test scores-

• A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 for MBA, MSN and Master of Accountancy
• International students must submit proof of English language proficiency.
