Midwestern University grew over time, introducing more degrees and programs. In 1993, the university merged these programs under the name Midwestern University. The institution constructed a campus in Glendale, Arizona, in 1995, making it the second-largest medical school in the state. The medical schools are additionally accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, and the university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
