Considering that Angelo State is a residential college, its more than 100 student organizations have a significant impact on the campus social scene.  The Houston Harte University Centre meets the social and recreational needs of students. There are numerous pools, ping pong, and air hockey tables, as well as lots of couches and student gathering spaces, available for student amusement. There are eight different restaurants in the center, including Subway, Starbucks, and Chick-fil-A. In addition, it houses the USPS Post Office, Campus Bookstore, and Student Credit Union.

The University Centre for Human Performance includes an indoor pool, four racquetball courts, an indoor elevated jogging track, an indoor rock-climbing gym, hardwood-floor locker rooms and shower facilities for student use, multipurpose rooms for fitness/aerobic classes, and an indoor rock-climbing gym, and other amenities.

For both domestic and foreign applicants, admissions at the institution are handled on a rolling basis during the academic terms of Fall, Spring, and Summer. For the online admissions procedure, standardized exam scores for the USA are required, along with other paperwork and a non-refundable 50 USD application fee.

• Applicants are required to submit official transcripts of previous academic records. 
• International applicants are required to submit proof of English Language Proficiency to the University. 
• SAT or ACT scores may be submitted but not mandatory. However, it may be submitted by applicants wishing to compete for scholarships. 
• Official Financial Statement Form (this must be filled out by the sponsor of the international student and must include an authentic bank statement or letter stating the required amounts in U.S. dollars).
