University of Hull Acceptance Rate
According to EduRank 2022, The acceptance rate of the University of Hull is 79%. This makes the college less selective than others in the region. Most acceptances are done on the basis of overall academic garages and require a minimum High school pass certificate to be eligible.
Admission Eligibility Criteria
- For general admissions and for UG Aspirants the minimum qualification required is a high school pass certificate (+2) that meets the stipulated grades by the university.
- PG aspirants must have a Bachelor’s Degree to be eligible to apply to the University. In a few Courses, LORs or Job experience may be required for Master’s Students and candidates seeking a Doctorate degree.
- All international students must have the required Test score grades as mentioned below along with English proficiency test scores.
- CISCE and CBSE students need to have a minimum 70% grade in the top 4 Subjects.

Test Required/Average Score
- IELTS: Minimum Score of bands 6
- Pearson PTE Academic: Minimum Overall of 54 with at least 51 in all skills
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum 78 overall with at least - Reading 10, Listening 9, Speaking 17, Writing 19
- SAT: 1190 or higher
- ACT: 24 or above
- GMAT: 590 or higher
- GPA: Minimum 3.0
- Cambridge CAE Advanced: 180+

How the University Evaluates Applicants
Previous academic transcripts; the student's previous academic performance is the main factor taken into account when examining applications for admission. For overseas students, obtaining the required test scores as well as scores on an English proficiency exam like the TOEFL or IELTS are also necessary.
Tips for Applying to the University
- Overseas students are recommended to apply to the University of Hull at least a month prior to the deadline date for seamless entry.
- Undergraduate applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of GBP 22 for a single course and GBP 26.50 for multiple courses online.
Application Deadline
HULL advises that you submit your application by August 1 for the September course commencement (or at least 6 weeks before any other start date). This is crucial if you need a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK since you need to give yourself adequate time to finish the application procedure. Normally, this takes 3 to 4 weeks.
