SAT® (Scholastic Assessment Test)
SAT is a standardized assessment test for applications to undergraduate educational programs abroad. The examination tracks the overall preparedness and aptitude of students. The SAT is a multiple-choice, pencil and paper test that the College Board administers. SAT is three hours long and comprises three compulsory sections: Writing & Language, Math, and Reading. Those aspiring to study in countries like Canada and the US should appear for the SAT exam.
The reading section of the SAT exam consists of five reading passages followed by multiple-choice questions on each passage. Candidates are given 65 minutes to complete this section. Test takers are asked to read passages and find and fix mistakes in the writing and language section. This section is 35 minutes long and includes four passages and 44 multiple-choice questions. The maths section has 58 questions to be answered in 80 minutes and is divided into two segments – Math No-Calculator and Math Yes-Calculator. SAT scores usually range between 400 and 1600 and are the sum of scores in sections- Reading & Writing (200-800) and Math (200-800).
