The University of Southern California, situated in Los Angeles, California, is a private university that offers research-led courses. It is the oldest private university for research in California, having been established in 1880 by Robert Maclay Widney. This university welcomes students from all backgrounds and enrolls about 22.6% of those who are from outside the United States.
There are two main campuses for the institution, both of which are in the center of Los Angeles. The first is the University Park Campus of USC, which is situated in the University Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, 4.4 miles (7.08 km) southwest of Downtown Los Angeles and close to tourist attractions like the Shrine Auditorium and Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Additionally, USC has programs and centers in Alhambra, Marina Del Rey, Catalina Island, Sacramento, Orange County, Washington, D.C., and other Southern California locations.
At the University of Southern California, applicants seek admission to 95 bachelor's degrees, certificate programs, doctoral programs, and master's programs.
