Rice University is accredited by the Southern Association of  Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees.  Bachelor of science in bioengineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The program leading to the BSME degree is accredited by the EAC. Various accrediting agencies provide accreditation to the many areas at this university. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 2020-21. The university has a total of 680 academic staff and a total of 2,152 administrative staff.

The setting of this university is urban and the campus size is 300 acres. I9t utilises a semester-based academic calendar. It also offers safety and security services like 24-hour emergency telephones, day and night foot and vehicle patrols, controlled dormitory access and so on. Alcohol is permitted for the students of legal age at this university. Rice University Acceptance rate (General)

The admissions of this university are most selective with an acceptance rate of 9%. Half the applicants admitted to this university have an ACT score of 34 and 35 or an SAT score between 1490 and 1570. On the other hand one-quarter of admitted applicants achieve scores below these ranges and one-quarter of the students scored above these ranges. Admission officials at this university consider a GPA score an important academic factor. 

Admission Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate

Undergraduate applicants should be aged 18 or above and have a 10+2 academic record. ACT or SAT scores and GPA are considered to get admission to undergraduate programs.

Postgraduate

Postgraduate applicants should have to produce an undergraduate program qualification certificate. A common application form and a letter which is mentioned the chosen subject is needed for admission. The minimum number of credits to apply for transfer students is 12 and the minimum required college GPA is 3.2.
