Although it is not a given that finalists who list Northeastern after the priority deadline will hear from Northeastern before May 1, 2024, they are still eligible for the award.

How to apply for scholarships at Northeastern University?
Each year, the admissions office selects a group of students to join the John Martinson Honors Program at Northeastern University. Those invited into the program are among our most highly accomplished admitted students. There is no separate application process for the program, and students are considered at all decision deadlines. Decisions are rendered based on the undergraduate admissions application submitted to the university. The invitation to join the program is included in the official admission letter. However, for merit scholarships, students must apply for the scholarship of their interest. For some scholarships, students need to apply through FAFSA.

In the case of first-year pupils, By the priority deadline of April 11, 2024, students must select Northeastern as their college of choice in order to be eligible for an enhanced scholarship before May 1, 2024.
Students can apply for the Northeastern Scholarship until September 15th of the following year, however the priority deadline is March 1st.
