Murray State University (MSU), situated in Murray, Kentucky, is a public university. Murray State has satellite campuses in Hopkinsville, Paducah, Madisonville, and Henderson that offer graduate and upper-level courses in addition to the main campus in Calloway County, southwest Kentucky. On the south side of the campus, a sizable grassy area surrounded by trees is home to the oldest and most identifiable buildings on the Murray State campus. This part is called the Quad.
Eleven associate's programs, 64 bachelor's programs, 42 master's and specialist's programs, three doctoral programs, and two schools—four academic colleges, thirty departments, and one joint program between the College of Business and the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology—are available at Murray State University. With 23% of undergraduate students enrolled, Murray State's College of Business is the largest.
The university features nine housing options with basic amenities including study lounges, community kitchens, dining areas, sports complexes, cable and wifi, and free laundry. Elizabeth Hall, Lee Clark Hall, JH Richmond Hall, Hart Hall, HC Franklin Hall, Hester Hall, Regents Hall, and RH White Hall are the residential halls.
