Long Island University Rankings 2025
Brooklyn, USA
In Brooklyn, New York, there is a private institution, Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn. It is the first of the two main campuses and the founding institution of the exclusive Long Island University system. The intersection of Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues is where LIU Brooklyn can be found. Multiple New York City Subway lines meet at DeKalb Avenue and Jay Street–MetroTech, providing service to the campus. The Atlantic Terminal is three blocks from campus, therefore the Atlantic Branch of the Long Island Rail Road is also close by.
At the original school, at 300 Pearl Street, 312 pupils from the surrounding neighborhoods attended the first lesson. Many of the students were the first in their family to attend college or any kind of education, making up the bulk of the student body who were immigrants or the offspring of immigrants.
The Long Island University system merged its sports programs prior to the 2019–2020 academic year; as a result, all LIU athletic teams are now known as the LIU Sharks and play as a single LIU athletic program.
