George Washington University is accredited by its institutional accrediting agency, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; American Bar Association, Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar and American Physical Therapy Association, Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education among many other accreditations for specific programs.

The university, which is the largest higher education provider in the capital of the United States, enrolls roughly 11,000 undergraduate and 15,000 graduate students from 130 different nations. GW exposes students to people and ideas in one of the world's most prominent cities because of its location in the center of Washington, DC since 1821. Students have access to some of the best art galleries, libraries, and museums in the nation. Additionally, it has a long-standing sporting heritage that dates to the late 19th century. Betty White, Al Gore, and Salman Rushdie have all performed in the university's Lisner Auditorium. It offers a variety of scholarships for freshmen in the fine arts, music, theater, and dance.

Acceptance Rate

At George Washington University, the admission rate ranges from 35 to 42%. This demonstrates the school's medium level of selection. The school is more lenient than other colleges, but they still want you to satisfy their GPA and SAT/ACT criteria.

Admission eligibility criteria

Undergraduate eligibility criteria

• It takes a 29 on the ACT or a 650 on the SAT for seamless admittance to GW University.
• A student's high school grade point average needs to be at least 60% GPA.
• Duolingo, IELTS, or the TOEFL can all be used to demonstrate English proficiency.
• Students from abroad need to have both a passport and a visa.

Post Graduate eligibility criteria

• Masters aspirants require a Bachelor’s Degree to be eligible for admissions. 
• Meeting the test score requirement and GPA is what the eligibility of the candidate is judged upon.
  • Similar to UG programs, meeting the English proficiency test scores is also important to meet the eligibility criteria of GW university.
