The University of Leeds is one of the leading universities of the Russell Group and one of the largest institutions for higher education in the UK. Situated in Leeds, West Yorkshire, it is a public research university in England. It was established in 1813 as the Leeds School of Medicine.
14,400 international students representing 137 different nations make up the university's varied student body. The campus of the University of Leeds is one of the biggest single campus housing facilities in the UK, accommodating students and their families across 22 residence halls.
