Staffordshire University, situated in Staffordshire, England, is a public research university. It has four campuses: Stafford, Lichfield, Shrewsbury, and London, in addition to its main campus in Stoke-on-Trent. Courses in law, sciences, business, applied computing, arts, gaming, engineering, design, journalism, and media creation are mostly offered at the main campus, which is located in Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent.
In 1990, the university became the pioneer in offering a single honors degree in Film, Television, and Radio Studies. Greg Dyke inaugurated a brand-new media center in 2005 that included broadcast journalist quarters, a television news desk, and radio studios. The Broadcast Journalism Training Council and the National Council for the Training of Journalists have nationally accredited print, broadcast, and sports journalism courses.
The purpose of the Staffordshire University Students' Union is to speak for the university's students. According to its constitution, the student body governs it; each year, they choose a student council that is in charge of running the union. Four Sabbatical Officers and four student trustees, who report to the Council, manage the day-to-day operations of the organization.
