The University of Victoria admission requires a Bachelor's degree. The minimum GPA required for entry is 6.5 (B+ to A-) in the last two years of undergraduate study. In practice a higher GPA may be required to ensure entry.

The University of Victoria is the oldest post-secondary institution in  British Columbia, founded in 1903 as an affiliated college of McGill University before gaining full autonomy through a  royal charter on July 1, 1963.
