The University of Manitoba (U of M), situated in the province of Manitoba, is a Canadian public research university. The University of Manitoba is the largest institution in the province of Manitoba and the 17th largest in all of Canada, both in terms of overall student enrollment and campus size.
The 30,000 students at the University of Manitoba have access to more than 100 academic programs. With more than 50 research centers, institutes, and shared facilities, the university is the top research institution in Manitoba. More than 80 sponsored and endowed research chairs are located within the university. At the moment, the University of Manitoba offers more than 100 courses to overseas students. One of the top-ranked programs at the institution are those in nursing, pharmacy, life sciences, and medicine.
The Bannatyne Campus and the Fort Garry Campus are the University of Manitoba's two main campuses. The Bannatyne Campus is the hub for top-notch medical and dental education as well as research in the field of health. The 10 buildings that make up the Bannatyne Campus are connected to important Manitoban institutions for health research. The Fort Garry Campus houses four colleges, as well as offices, labs, libraries, research organizations, entertainment centers, and housing. Over 1,350 students live on campus at the University of Manitoba each year.
