Hamilton, Ontario, Canada's McMaster University (McMaster or Mac) is a public research institution. The main McMaster campus is situated on 121 hectares of property close to the Westdale and Ainslie Wood residential areas and the Royal Botanical Gardens. The DeGroote School of Business, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, Social Science, and Science is one of its six academic departments. It belongs to the U15, a collection of Canadian universities with a focus on research.
At McMaster University, there are more than 32,000 undergraduate and more than 5,000 graduate students as of 2022. There are alumni and former students living in 139 countries and all-around Canada.
The university's campus is home to approximately twenty eating options, including two significant residence dining facilities. The institution is home to a number of vegetarian eateries, including the Bridges Café and a farmers market stall.
