Brock University, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, is a public research university. Located in the heart of Canada's Niagara Peninsula on the Niagara Escarpment, this university is the only one in the country situated inside a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The institution is named after Maj.-General Sir Isaac Brock, who, in the War of 1812, was in charge of protecting Upper Canada from the United States.
