University of Tasmania Acceptance Rate
With an Acceptance rate of 75%, the University of Tasmania is a moderately selective university in the southern region of Australia. It is a diverse environment to study with 18,610 students total, 6,803 of whom are international students from 147 different countries that make up the student body on its campuses.
Admission Eligibility Criteria
- For international students, an overall score of 65% is required (High school GPA)
- To apply for a bachelor’s degree in the university aspirants need to have a minimum high school degree with a passing grade.
- For Master's aspirants, a bachelor's degree is required with passing grades that meet the university requirement.
- English proficiency test scores along with other Entrance exam scores are to be met as mentioned below.

- Grades from the entrance exam and a certified copy of the cumulative GPA.
- RSA students should have a copy of their ID or passport (international students)

How the University Evaluates Applicants
The general criteria are to judge applicants according to their prior academic records and overall academic achievements. English proficiency exam results are another important factor to consider. For overseas students, a minimum overall score of 65% is advised.
Tips for Applying to the University
- With the exception of the MBBS programme, for which there is a 110 AUD non-refundable application cost, UTAS does not charge an application fee for either undergraduate or graduate programmes.
- A physical copy of the application is to be sent to the College along with the application fees waiver.
