The School of Electrical Engineering and Computing offers undergraduate and postgraduate study in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Cyber Security, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Medical Engineering and Software Engineering. In conjunction with the School of Engineering, we also offer undergraduate study in Mechatronics.

The speed of change in Information and Communications Technology requires everyone to update their knowledge every few years. Western Sydney University courses recognise this. In addition we concentrate on the vital role that computer networks, including internet and web technologies, are playing in all areas of life. Master of Information and Communications Technology - Advanced (MICT-Adv) course is for students seeking to progress their knowledge in ICT discipline. This course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge in a range of theories and state-of-the-art developments in ICT. Students will be required to complete a work experience component and a specialisation, in addition to a number of core and elective units. The course aims to develop students with knowledge and skills required in problem solving and research practice and provide opportunities to apply those skills and knowledge in a professional and ethical framework to develop themselves as lifelong learners.
