Welcome to the UC Master of Clinical Psychology course, an intensive two-year academic journey that will provide you with rigorous professional training and equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a registered clinical psychologist. Through a mix of advanced coursework, supervised practicum placements, and a research project on a topic of clinical relevance, you will acquire in-depth assessment, evaluation, and intervention skills readying you to work as a practicing psychologist. On enrolment, you will be registered as a provisional psychologist and then go on to complete up to 1000 hours of supervised practical placements. The first two placements will be in the University's student-led Health Clinic, where you will gain exposure to inter-professional practice with additional training opportunities occurring in workplace settings, always under the support and supervision of experienced academic mentors.

If you're a graduate but considering a career change, then the UC Master of Medical Imaging course offers an accelerated learning program that condenses a comprehensive three-year course into an internationally recognised Medical Imaging qualification in only 2.5 years. Highly focused, engaging and interactive, the UC Master of Imaging course will help you become proficient in diagnostic radiography graduating six months earlier - thus gaining a highly competitive advantage over other similar courses elsewhere. Successful completion of the course will allow you to apply for registration to practice as a Diagnostic Radiographer from the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) and you'll be ready to forge ahead in your career as a competent and professional diagnostic radiographer. The UC Master of Medical Imaging is an approved program of study by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) allowing graduates to gain registration as a diagnostic radiographer for employment in both public hospitals and private radiology practices in any state or territory in Australia and around the world. The course is highly career-focused and includes ongoing Work Integrated Learning (WIL), offering specialised opportunities across multiple fields of diagnostic radiography, such as general radiography, mammography, angiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and medical ultrasound.

The Master of Optometry is a two-year program. It will provide students with advanced knowledge, clinical skills and professional attributes related to the optometry profession. The course will incorporate the latest research and technology, as it will be developed by a group comprising academics, practitioners and representatives from international optometry companies and independents. This course is accredited with the Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand (OCANZ) until April 2023. Successful completion of both the Bachelor of Vision Science AND the Master of Optometry course at the University of Canberra will allow graduates the chance to apply for registration with the Optometry Board of Australia to practice as an optometrist.
