MSSU provides comfortable and convenient accommodation options for students. The university offers various housing types, including suites and apartments. Accommodation costs are reasonable and vary depending on the chosen housing option.

The cost of accommodation at MSSU is as follows:

Two conventional dormitories, eight apartment-style housing complexes, and two suite-style dorms are available on campus. McCormick and Blaine Halls are dorms, while Gockel, Stegge, Dishman, Dryer, Stone, Headlee, Maupin, and Mitchell Halls are apartments. East Hall and The Quads have suite-style dormitories. 

Students moving in during the Fall or Spring semesters must sign a housing contract. A separate contract form is necessary for living accommodations during the Summer Session. Housing paperwork may be obtained on your Lionet account, and any contracts completed with the Residence Life Office are legally binding.

Before submitting your application, ensure you are an international student, pay the non-refundable $60 application fee, and review the majors and minors to ensure you are applying for the correct program. 

Include a scanned passport photo, have your high school or university transcripts translated into English, and send your college transcripts to a preferred third-party evaluator. 

Proof of your finances showing you can cover a year's tuition at MSSU is also required. Familiarize yourself with the F1 Student Visa requirements and plan to cover tuition costs. Explore available scholarships and payment plans, and choose an option from the housing options.

Documents Required for Missouri Southern State University

To study in the United States, you need to apply for an F-1 student visa or J-1 student visa if you are an ISEP student. To apply for the F-1 visa, you need an official I-20 from Missouri Southern State University. For the J-1 visa, you need the DS-2019. 

Other required documents include: 

• Admission to Missouri Southern State University 
• A passport photo 
• Financial verification for one academic year 
• Bank statements, a support affidavit and 
• Scholarship or scholarship awards 
• If you are currently attending another US university on an F-1 student visa, you need to submit the MSSU transfer-in form.

Exam Requirements for MSSU

To join the academic courses at MSSU, applicants must have evidence of English proficiency from one of the following categories: TOEFL (68), IELTS (6.0), or Duolingo (95). If not met, applicants can apply to the Intensive English Program. 

• Academic requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.25 or graduating in the top 50% of your class. 
• English requirements are waived for those who have completed 3 or more years and graduated from a US high school. 
• Transfers require third-party evaluations for college transcripts, with WES and SpanTran being preferred. 
• Applicants must be in good standing at previous institutions and have completed English Comp 1 & 2 with a "C" or higher. 
• Additional requirements include being fully immunized against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Meningitis.
