Full Sail University is a private institution at Winter Park in Florida. It started operations in 1979 in Dayton, Ohio. It started its journey as a workshop for audio recording. It also ensured excellent educational experiences for students in a real-life studio setting. 

The university ultimately shifted to Central Florida, establishing itself at the present location in 1989. It steadily evolved towards offering project-oriented curriculums in media, entertainment, digital media, filmmaking, and more. The institution has accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges or ACCSC. 

The University has its campus at Winter Park in Florida. It has several studios and centers, including Studio V1 for Virtual Production, Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting, and the Fitness Technology Lab. There is also the UX Lab with Wargaming and the Collegiate Esports facilities. 

The University offers several programs in fields like music and recording, art and design, film and television, business, media and communications, games, technology, sports, and more. There are bachelor’s, master’s, and associate degrees which emphasize on real-world experiences and problem-solving for students. Degree programs are accelerated ones, enabling graduation in a quicker time as compared to conventional bachelor’s degree courses. The university is not very selective, as is evident from the acceptance rate of 100%.

Notable alumni include sound re-recording mixer Gary Rizzo, engineer, and producer Sebastian Krys, mix engineer Leslie Braithwaite, and CG supervisor Laurie Brugger.
