Ball State University: Rankings, Courses & Admissions

Ball State University (Ball State,  or BSU) is a public research university located in Muncie, Indiana. It has two sister universities located in Fishers and Indianapolis. Ball State owns a place amidst the "R2: Doctoral Universities, High research activity". The university includes  seven academic colleges. It is a coeducational and public college offering higher learning and is located in Muncie. The university includes colleges of applied sciences and technology, sciences and humanities, fine arts, architecture and planning, communication, information, and media, and business and also has a  teachers college. Apart from baccalaureate degrees, Ball State also offers master’s degrees in more than 80 subjects.

The university started its humble beginnings in 1899 as a private university named the Eastern Indiana Normal School.  University facilities include a planetarium and nature preserves. Ball State University is ranked #216 in National Universities , according to U.S. News.
