University of Buckingham Ranking

As per the Complete University Guide 2021, the University of Buckingham is ranked in the top 10 in student satisfaction in England and 6th in England for Student Satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2020.

It was ranked 123rd out of 130 universities in the University League Tables 2022.

The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, the university is ranked among the top 20 for teaching quality and student satisfaction in England.

Infrastructure

The University of Buckingham has three campuses – Hunter St, Chandos Road, and Verney Park. Hunter Street is one of the main campuses and Education centers having the student union building, restaurant, computer center, accommodation, student facilities, bar, gymnasium, and recreational Centres for the students. All the campuses of the University of Buckingham are well built with modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology for research as well as educational purpose.

The University of Buckingham is home to some of the most well-established research academics in the field but also to a dozen research students specializing in postgraduate degrees. Some genetic research into diabetes to molecular and psychological importance of music, the University of Buckingham is always a step ahead in terms of research and methodology with an independent research team published by solo academics followed by their interest.

Admission

The university has 65 postgraduate programs and 90 undergraduate programs that students can pursue. For undergraduate students, there are two ways of applying for the admission process. Students can apply through UCAS or directly through the online application form that is available on the official website of the university. However, postgraduate students need to simply apply through the online application form available on the official website. For undergraduate students, the application UCAS code is B90.

It is completely free for online university applications and a few 20 GBP (INR 2000) for UCAS application is charged. University of Buckingham’s acceptance rate is 18% which makes it highly competitive and selective for international students.

University of Buckingham Admission Requirements for undergraduate courses:

1. Higher secondary certificate (standard XII), minimum 50%

2. Applicants need to have a minimum of 12 years of full-time education without any study gaps

3. Official academic transcripts

4. A-level: BBB-BBC / IB: 31-32

5. Completed application form

6. Letter of recommendation

7. Passport copy

8. For September intake an IELTS score of 5.5, with 5.0 or above in each section is important

9. For January intake an IELTS score of 6.0, with 5.5 or above in each section is compulsory.

1. A full-time bachelor’s degree with 50-64% is equivalent to a British bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2:2 and depending upon the recognized board of study in the relevant field of study.

Admission Cycle

At the University of Buckingham, there are two major intakes every academic year in January as well as September. However, for postgraduate programs, there are flexible intakes throughout the year and like many other universities in the UK, you can also apply directly through the course pages itself on the official website of the University of Buckingham. 9th September 2022 is the last application deadline for students applying for the September intake. For January intake, application dates generally close by mid-December.
