You won't receive an invoice for your fees if you have a verified loan that covers your tuition since the Student Loans Company will pay the university on your behalf. The Student Loans Company automatically sends an email confirmation to the University indicating who has been approved for a tuition fee loan.

However, you should be informed that you are responsible for paying all fees and penalties. You can be responsible for paying the tuition costs yourself if, upon matriculation, your financial agreement is not in place. You must make plans to pay your tuition before or at registration if you are partially or fully funding your education. It is best to set aside money for travel, lodging, meals, books, clothes, entertainment, and utilities like gas and electricity.

University of Edinburgh Courses and Fees

It is anticipated that students who typically reside in Northern Ireland will be deemed responsible for paying the Home-RUK tuition cost. Undergraduate students who reside in a region of the United Kingdom other than Scotland are subject to an annual review of their tuition fees.

In 2024–2025, the entry cost is fixed at £9,250. Increases often take the effects of inflation into account and are subject to government control and direction. If you are pursuing your first degree full-time, you might be able to apply for a tuition fee loan from Student Finance Northern Ireland to pay for all of your fees. For both your fee loan and student support, you submit a single application to Student Finance Northern Ireland.

Your tuition costs will be paid to the university by The Student Loans Company (SLC), a partner of Student Finance Northern Ireland. With the exception of the BVM&S Veterinary Medicine (Graduate Entry Programme, a 4-year program), all full-time undergraduate degree programs are subject to a tuition fee.
