History 

The University of British Columbia was established as McGill BC in 1908. The University opened and the first classes were held in 1915, with a total registration of 435, and was equipped to give courses in all years of the Faculty of Arts, for the degree of B.A. In 1958, with around 10,000 students, full undergraduate degrees were offered among nine Faculties from 15 available degrees.

1. Choose what to study

While applying to the University of British Columbia, you will have the opportunity to select the first and second choice of degree. The degree you choose will determine the program options in your second or third year of study.

2. Write a personal profile

The personal profile is crucial for your application. It's a chance to tell the University about your life achievements and experiences to help the University determine if you are a good fit for it.

3. Get in touch

Contact the admission counsellor to find the process in more detail. There are two campuses of the University. You must choose the campus depending on the course you are choosing. Contact details can be found on the University of British Columbia's website. 

4. Attend an Interview

After contacting the University, you need to attend an interview with the campus inclusion facilitator. The interview is to learn more about the aspirant's desire and hopes after education.

5. Receive the offer

About a month after the interview; the University will contact you to let you know about the confirmation if you are selected or not.
