Admission Requirements

American Pattern System:

Applicants must also fulfill these key criteria for admission consideration:

• Four academic Grade 12 subjects, including English.
• A mid-year average equivalent to 85% (as calculated by Huron).
• SAT or ACT scores are not required.

British Pattern System (GCSE/GCE):

In addition, applicants should have:

• Three A-Level results or four AS-Level grades with predicted average "B" or higher grades.

Indian Pattern System (CBSE/ISC):

Here are the specific academic requirements for applicants:

• A minimum predicted or mid-year Class XII average of 80% in five academic subjects (excluding physical education).
• Class X Math is mandatory; Class XII Math is recommended but not preferred.

Note: Program-specific prerequisites may apply. For instance, Mathematics is recommended for Management and Organizational Studies at Huron University.

Language Proficiency

• Duolingo English Test: Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 115 on the Duolingo English Test. This score reflects a strong command of English, suitable for academic study. • Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL): Applicants are required to have a minimum score of 60 on the Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) test. This score demonstrates sufficient English proficiency for academic success in Canadian institutions. 
• PTE Academic: Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 58 on the PTE Academic test to meet English language proficiency requirements. This score reflects the ability to understand and communicate effectively in an academic environment. 

Alternatively, students may opt for Huron's Academic English Program. Students who complete the High Advanced Level can start full-time studies without submitting an English proficiency test score.

Competitive Exams

Standardized tests like the SAT or ACT are not mandatory but can be sent in to complement an application. Additionally, Advanced Placement (AP) courses and exams may be considered for transfer credits:

Advanced Placement (AP):

• Final College Board exam grade of 4 or 5.
• Up to 2.0 credits may be awarded.

A-Level:

• Final grades of A*, A, or B may be eligible for transfer credits.

Visa Requirements

In order to study in Canada, International students need to have a valid study permit. The steps you should follow to get a study permit include:

• Receiving an official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Huron University College.
• Submitting a study permit application to the relevant body-The IRCC or the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
