The Postgraduate Preparation Program is a non-award course that provides a pathway into all of IMC's postgraduate business courses for applicants who may not qualify for direct entry into their preferred postgraduate course in the fields of Management and Commerce at IMC and for those applicants who want to build a solid base of knowledge and skills to enable transition to postgraduate business study. Many years of experience in higher education have shown that international students often lack generic knowledge and skills at an appropriate level to successfully complete postgraduate business studies in Australia. Providing an integrated approach to management education, the MBA covers the key functional business areas, including finance, marketing, human resource management and operations management. The course provides an entry platform for further Diploma and Masters degrees in marketing and business administration.

This course can serve as an entry and exit point for the Master of Business Administration (MBA). The course requires study of the first eight units of the MBA.

The Graduate Certificate of Business Research represents an exit point for those candidates enrolled in the MBR who choose not to complete the final three semesters of study in the a research masters. The GCBR provides students with specialised knowledge and advanced research skills, and incorporates the identification and discussion of a wide range of theoretical and empirical research methods. This course will equip students with the skills to pursue employment opportunities with commercial research employers seeking research insights in business environments.
