A company or person who assists a variety of clients, from individuals to businesses, in the preparation of financial documentation is known as public accounting. It refers to offering one or more clients various financial or accounting services. Specifically, these services include financial statement preparation, audits, tax return filing, merger and acquisition advice, and more.

Accounting, bookkeeping, auditing and assurance services, financial planning and counseling, consumer and business credit services, financial reporting,  insolvency, corporate reconstruction, forensic accounting, management accounting, management consulting, taxes, and other services are all considered public accounting services.
