Examination Requirements

  • Students must qualify for the matriculation examinations (in their country) ( HSC, CBSE, and ICSE) and secure an overall average of 80 to 85% in a total of six subjects. When calculating their overall percentage, it is important to consider the percentages obtained in English and Mathematics.
  • For postgraduate study, students must hold an honors degree from the university.
  • If seeking admission to business-related courses, the minimum GMAT score required is 600. 

Documents Requirement

  • A photocopy of your passport (front page).
  • Your recent high school or college transcripts.
  • Two letters of recommendation (from your school, teachers, or professors).
  • Proof of English Language proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent test scores.
  • Standardized test scores like GMAT if required by your course of study. 

Language Requirements 

To prove their proficiency in the English language, students can fulfill any of these language requirements:

  • IELTS score of 6.5 or above. For dental courses and clinical speech and language studies, the minimum required score is 7.0 and above. 
  • The minimum required score for an internet-based TOEFL test is 90, with a minimum score of 21 in writing. 
  • For students appearing in PTE academics, the overall score obtained must be 63 or higher, with a minimum of 59 in each section. 
  • If appearing in Duolingo DET, the minimum required score is 120/160, with no score below 105 in any of the sections. For students pursuing dental and clinical speech courses and language studies, the minimum score requirement is 130/160, with no sections having a score lower than 130.

At the Irish universities, intakes take place in two sessions: spring and autumn. The spring intakes begin in the month of February, whereas the autumn intakes begin in September. The dates of intake vary from one university to another.

AQ Scholarships  AQ scholarships are offered to students from the Global South pursuing a Master of Science degree from Trinity College. They are awarded to students pursuing degrees in the stream of Quantum Science and other technological fields.  Full tuition fee support and a stipend of €25,000 to help students relocate to Ireland. 
Global Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships This scholarship is awarded to postgraduate international students with non-EU status who are willing to pay tuition fees at the non-EU rate.   A reward of €2,000 to €5,000 payable towards tuition fees for the first year of study. 
Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship Program Awarded to meritorious international students pursuing their master's or PhD degrees from Irish universities. Full tuition is waived for a master's degree program or the first year of PhD study.
