The global authority in education rankings, U.S. News & World Report, has announced the 2023 Best Graduate Schools rankings on Tuesday. Launched for the ease of prospective students, the higher education rankings analyze programs across several disciplines such as engineering, business, education, law, medicine, nursing, and science.

Over 2,100 programs and more than 23,000 faculty members and professionals were surveyed for 2023 Graduate Schools rankings. The year marked the release of the first-ever Best Biostatistics Program rankings. The evaluation of the top Biostatistics program was based on the data captured from around 65 universities. 

As per the rankings, among full-time MBA courses, the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School tied for the first position. Also, Stanford University tied with Northwestern University's Kellogg School in the third position. 

Among the law schools, Yale, Stanford, and the University of Chicago held the first, second, and third spots respectively. 

As far as the Best Medical Schools: Research is concerned, Harvard held the first position, followed by New York University. For the third position, Columbia University tied with the University of California and Johns Hopkins University 

For mathematics, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Princeton University shared the first position. The third position was tied by Harvard University and Stanford University

In public health, Johns Hopkins University held the first position, and the second position was tied by Harvard University and the University of North Carolina. Moreover, the list of the best schools for computer science includes Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the first position, followed by Carnegie Mellon University

U.S. News has considered two main factors while ranking the best graduate schools for 2023. These factors include the opinion of experts about the quality of the program and several statistical indicators that evaluate the institution’s research facilities, faculty resources, and overall student performance.
