Ontario province in Canada has invited over 1000 applications of PhD graduates, masters graduates, international students with job offers and workers in five Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 173 immigration candidates on February 28 who can be eligible for the PhD Graduate stream. In order to be eligible for it, candidates will need a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 16. Later, on March 1, Ontario invited candidates of Masters Graduate, Foreign Worker, and International Student stream.
As per reports, around 1,493 immigration candidates are just a step away from becoming permanent residents in Ontario, Canada.

How do you get points for Ontario immigration?
The scoring system of OINP is different for each stream. Besides skill and work experience, the scoring system also takes into account wage, education, official language ability, and the region of study or work.
Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams
To be eligible for Masters Graduate or PhD Graduate stream, candidates will have to sign up with Ontario’s e-Filing Portal and then register an expression of interest for their choice of graduate stream.
Then eligible candidates are invited by Ontario to apply for a provincial nomination, which is a step toward Canadian permanent residence. Candidates will have to apply within two years of their graduation.
International Student Stream
The Ontario International Student Stream is open to foreign nationals with an eligible job offer from an employer in Ontario.
To be eligible for this program you need to have completed any program at a Canadian Designated Learning Institution, have a job offer in Ontario, and intend to immigrate to the province, among other eligibility criteria. In order to receive an invitation to apply for this program, candidates will have to register an EOI profile on the Ontario website.
Foreign Worker stream
The Ontario Foreign Worker Stream program is open to foreign nationals who have an eligible job offer from an employer in Ontario. To be eligible, candidates should have two years of work experience in a skilled occupation, have a job offer in Ontario, and plan to immigrate to the province, among other eligibility criteria. Those who want to apply for this stream will have to register an EOI profile on the Ontario website.
