NMAT, or the Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test, is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and accepted by various top B-schools. The NMAT admit card is the document that presents all the important details about your exam. 

NMAT: Exam Slot Booking

Before discussing the NMAT admit card download process, let us first understand how to book the NMAT exam slot and what are the important details pertaining to your NMAT admit card.  The candidates can book their examination slots after they have registered on GMAC. The slot booking process is generally open for a few weeks, and candidates must complete the process within the specified time frame. You must schedule your exam at least 24 hours in advance. 

You can book your slot by following these steps:

Step 1: Login

Enter your log in details into the NMAT account and proceed to the dashboard to access the slot booking portal. 

Step 2: Choose Exam Mode

There are two exam modes to choose from – test center or online proctored at home. Once you book an appointment, you cannot change the exam mode for that appointment. However, you can select a different mode when scheduling another attempt.

  • Scheduling a test center

Click ‘Book Exam’ and correctly choose the country, city, test center, date, and time. 

  • Scheduling an online proctored test at home

Click ‘Book Exam’ and fill in the ‘My Profile’ section. 

Step 3: Exam Appointment

  • Carefully pick the date and time zone.
  • Candidates in India should select (UTC+05:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi time zones.
  • The ‘Begin Test’ button will be enabled only at the chosen time.

NMAT Admit Card: Important Details

After scheduling the slot for your NMAT exam, the only formal requirement to take the exam is your admit card. The admit card for NMAT is the gateway to your admission to the top B-institutes for MBA in India, such as NMIMS, ISB, SPJIMR, and others. Some important details about the NMAT admit card are as follows:

  • It will contain the candidate’s registration details, photograph, exam date/time, and venue.
  • The admit card for NMAT is generally released a few weeks before the exam date. Candidates are advised to download and print it soon after it is available. Keeping it for the last minute may be a hassle.
  • The admit card is only available online after its release, whether you opt for a test center or a proctored online home test. 
  • As the NMAT allows three attempts to clear the exam, candidates must download the admit card fresh for each of them. Also, it is mandatory to carry the admit card to the test center along with the required identity proofs and the confirmation email. 
  • Candidates must ensure all the details mentioned on the admit card are correct. In case of any discrepancy, candidates must contact the NMAT by GMAC helpdesk immediately.
  • Candidates must ensure that the photograph on the NMAT admit card is visible. If the photo is distorted or not visible, candidates must contact the help desk to update the photo. 

How to Download NMAT Admit Card

You can download the admit card when you complete the registration process. For downloading the NMAT admit card, applicants should follow below-mentioned steps:

  1. Go to the NMAT account’s dashboard, and click the ‘Admit Card’ tab.
  2. Log in with your credentials.
  3. After GMAC accepts the payment, you can download the admit card. 
  4. Check the details and print it. You must show it to the test administrator on the NMAT exam day.

You can preview the score after your exams. But the actual scorecard is uploaded 48 hours after you take the exam. It can be accessed by logging into their dashboard with your credentials.

Your NMAT scores will be valid for one academic year. For instance, if you take the NMAT in 2023, your scores will be valid for the academic year of 2023-2024. 

When is the NMAT admit card released?
