Course Structure of MBA in New Zealand

For a full-time MBA, candidates will take 180 credits over a period of 12 months or 60 credits per semester. As MBA offers several specializations as well as the traditional degree, one can enrol with or without a specialization. In case you choose to enrol and opt for the specialization later, you will have to do so after completing the first six compulsory core courses. This option will enable you to experience the different subjects and decide which interests you the most and choose a specialization accordingly.

To complete a specialization in the Master of Business Administration, you must pass 60 credits in the specified area which includes two specialization courses plus the Action Learning Project in that specialization area. Some specializations that one can opt for are International Business

Finance, Marketing, and Operations and Logistics.

It should be noted that some institutions may require you to choose specialization upon enrolling. 

MBA in New Zealand Admission Deadlines

Enrolment for most universities begins in October, and there are three intakes per year in March, July, and November. Once the registration windows for universities open in October, candidates have to undergo several processes to secure admission, including submitting the application along with standardized exam scores, appearing for admission interviews, awaiting an acceptance letter, confirming a seat, and acquiring a student visa to study abroad.
