Requirements for MBA in Ireland

You should follow several requirements for doing your MBA in Ireland. Some of them include the following: 

  • Bachelor’s UG degree in a relevant subject with 2:1 Honors or 60% marks. 2:2 classifications are also eligible at many institutions and ACCA/CIMA, among other professional qualifications. 
  • IELTS/PTE/TOEFL scores (proof of English language proficiency). 
  • GMAT/GRE scores (should have validity). 
  • Work experience of three years at least, as per the requirements of some institutions. 
  • SOP (Statement of Purpose) along with the LORs (Letters of Recommendation) and Admissions Essay, as per university requirements. 

English language requirements for MBA in Ireland 

The minimum score thresholds for various English language proficiency tests are the following:

The minimum IELTS scores needed by universities may vary between 6.0 and 7.0. Some like the University College Dublin insist on a minimum of IELTS 7.0 with at least 6.5 in every section. Others like the Trinity College Dublin or the Dublin Business School accept IELTS 6.5 with a minimum score of 5.5 in every section. The Institute of Technology, Carlow, takes IELTS 6.0 with a minimum score of 6.0 in every section. 

 

At the same time, Dublin Business School and Trinity College Dublin both accept TOEFL scores of 90 while the Institute of Technology, Carlow, accepts a TOEFL score of 90. University College Dublin accepts 100 in TOEFL with scores of 24 in writing and 20 each for listening, speaking, and reading. 

The minimum PTE scores accepted by the University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin are 63, with the minimum per-section score being 59.
