Johannes Kepler University Linz had its inception on 8th October, 1966 as the University of Social and Economic Sciences.The university is also the biggest educational institution in Upper Austria. 

It also holds the distinction of having the biggest campus in Austria and offering top notch study abroad experience. The university has 4 faculties and 6 schools along with 173 professors at almost 130 departments and institutes. 

It was renamed as the Johannes Kepler University in 1975 with the TN Tower being established in 1977.The campus building was also completed in 1984.

There are 100 degree programs at the institution,covering areas like engineering, law, medicine, education, computer sciences,social sciences,natural sciences, and economics and business.

Student Life at Johannes Kepler University 

Johannes Kepler University Linz offers a vibrant campus with multiple libraries and a Learning Center. Wi-Fi is easily accessible throughout the campus as well. Students can also use the iconic Mensa cafeteria, gymnasium, park, and other cafes. 

There are 150 sports and recreation courses available in addition to a lovely pond and student dormitories. Some innovation-oriented establishments for students include the LIT Factory and the LIT Open Innovation Center and Science Park.
