- To be eligible for the Hinrich Foundation Scholarship, applicants must be citizens of Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, or Vietnam.
- A candidate should first get admission to Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).
- A candidate should have at least seven years of work experience as a journalist or in another related profession.
- A candidate should submit a 500-word self-statement in English regarding their career objectives, academic interests, or a sample of a piece of journalism, research paper, or similar work written by the applicant in English.
- A candidate must show genuine interest in learning about international trade and making journalism their profession.
- A candidate should have a minimum TOEFL score of 79 on an internet-based test or an IELTS band score of 6.5.

The application will start in November 2022, as the application for Hinrich Global Trade Leaders scholarships for the Master of Arts in International Journalism Studies program for the academic year 2022 has been closed.

Program Details
- The application will start on June 7, 2023, and the classes will begin on September 7, 2023.
- This includes two full-tuition scholarships of about HK$150,000 each.
