Deutschlandstipendium National Scholarship Programme – A Guide

Updated on 19 September, 2024

The Deutschlandstipendium national scholarship programme aims at offering the best of both worlds for students, enabling financial and non-financial support for achievers and dedicated students worldwide. Based on the public-private partnership principle and foundations, organisations and private people sponsor young and skilled talents with 150 Euros each month. The exact amount is matched by the Federal Government as well. In total, students will receive 300 Euros per month.

Many institutions also offer added support via internships, networking and mentoring opportunities. The scholarship aims at rewarding talented and deserving students at all participating German institutions. It is given without considering personal or parental income or even nationality.

The funds are not taken as grants given under the Federal Training Assistance Act. Funding is usually given for two semesters, although it may be longer. The university reviews the holder’s eligibility after every two semesters in a bid to decide whether their funding should continue or not.
