Cornell University bachelor’s acceptance rate

Cornell University is one of the prestigious Ivy League universities in the United States that has a selective admission procedure. Admission eligibility criteria

For undergraduate courses

1. The language proficiency test is compulsory to take apply to Cornell University, students need to appear for the TOEFL score which has been presently waved off since the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it has been waived off only for the students with SAT exam scores of a minimum of 35 in the reading section. English language proficiency test score requirements can be waived off if the students have completed their high school education in the English language for the past four years of continuous full-time study from a recognized boat of study.

2. The half-yearly examination marks are required. The grading system and the predicted marks from the educational institution in the final school higher education examination are required for undergraduate admission.

3. One letter of recommendation and two evaluations from teachers and counselors are compulsory for students to apply for undergraduate courses at Cornell University.

4. Cornell University question answers and writing supplements need to be submitted.

5. All the academic transcripts of the last three years of academic performance need to be submitted in original copies.

For postgraduate courses

1. Students need to have a full-time undergraduate course in the relevant field of study from a recognized board or university. 

2. Standardized examinations like GRE, GMAT, ACT and SAT scores should be high. The cut-offs keep changing every year. 

3. Students need to appear for English language test scores. Cornell University widely accepts TOEFL scores as an English language requirement.

4. Statement of purpose needs to be submitted by the students to apply to postgraduate courses and programs. It should be unique and highly competitive with career objectives, the purpose of taking the particular program, reasons, and expectations out of Cornell University, and why the student is the perfect fit. 

5. Minimum 2 letters of recommendation from past faculty.

6. Work experience for postgraduate study programs is an added advantage for undergraduate students in the relevant discipline and course.
